South East Regional NRM Plan

A draft Regional Natural Resources Management Plan was released by the SE NRM Board for community consultation in 2009. Consultation provided an essential ingredient in finding the right social, economic and environmental balance when planning for the NRM future. This new plan aims to be an innovative integration of the best management techniques from a wide range of pre-existing policies and the best possible, commonly agreed direction for our region.

Following the extensive consultation the plan was adopted by the Minister for Environment and Conservation on 31st May 2010.

The Regional NRM Plan sets the direction for NRM in the region. The vision contained within the Plan is healthy landscapes for better living. The plan provides guidance to assist the region to achieve a balance between environmental, social and economic outcomes.
