The SE NRM Board believes in the philosophy of environmental education. Children and young people are being, and will be directly impacted upon by the natural resource management of yesterday and today. Allowing children to learn about natural environmental functions and then providing them with an understanding of conservation methods and sustainable management practices is vital in continuing to protect our resources.
Currently children are being exposed to information about the health and longevity of our planet. We seek to remove the fear and uncertainty from environmental discussion and empower children with knowledge about positive movement and action in planning for an ecologically sustainable tomorrow.
We hope to instill values, paired with skills and knowledge that will encourage further development of sustainable environmental practices.
