We live in the driest state on the driest continent in the world yet the Limestone Coast region recieves a generous annual rainfall and is home to an abundance of high quality underground water. This access to water is what gives our region it's beauty and diversity - from farming to wineries to industry and eco-tourism. This is why it is vital to care for our water sources and this care is the responsibility of everyone from the householder to the farmer to the forestry industry. Sustainable use of our water and sound environmental policies will ensure our water sources will continue to be the lifeblood of our region for generations to come.
One of the ways to ensure our water is being cared for and used sustainably is through Water Allocation Plans. (WAP's) These are availabe for reading on the left hand navigation pane as well as other important water information.
