Description:

Come and celebrate Threatened species day at Bryan and Toni Haywoods

Bryan and Toni Haywood bought their Moorak property in the mid 1990’s. The 15 acres was divided into four paddocks and was used for grazing and had no original vegetation remaining.

15 years  later it is home to over 60 native plant species, many different mammals and insects, and has been home/habitat for at least 94 different bird species, including some rare and threatened.

Bryan and Toni are opening up their property on Sunday September 9 from 2pm -5pm to give anyone the chance to see the benefits of planting native vegetation on your property, and how successful plantings can integrate with your farming operations, improving the amenity and encouraging native wildlife back to your area.

Registrations are essential for this event. You can register by calling Naomi on 8735 1234 or emailing naomi.brick@sa.gov.au.
